Dr. Jim Fryer will be arriving next week to teach our pastors and workers enrolled in the GAP Bible Institute of Ivory Coast. The event will be held in Mondoukou at the GAP ORPHANAGE facilities. Pst. David Guei is busy organizing the students and I am getting the facilities ready for their arrival on the 12th. It will be a grand time of fellowship, Bible study, and preaching. Plus, “Jungle Riders” will be coming to share the Gospel in villages nearby in order to help strengthen the local church.
The men who are coming have saved in order to attend this event, but as always, it will be a struggle for some. GAP would like to send $25 to each wife of the married pastors to assist their families while they are away. It will cost each attendee $60 for food during the two week period if you would like to help with that need. The money for their books and supplies has already been given. We expect 35-40 students to attend. The majority are coming from remote villages situated in the “wild west.” Some work with congregations away from their own village so they are not able to raise a garden or farm their land. We are humbled by our dedicated pastors and workers who serve in such a hard environment. They will come…hungry for the Word…sleep on thin plastic mats…take cold showers…and smile through it all. May God richly bless our time together. If you would like to assist…you can donate by mailing a check or donate online.
