A construction team will be arriving to work on the orphanage March 6th-16th. The team will concentrate on the completion of work necessary to open the facilities for the first group of children arriving this summer.
In Ivory Coast, we must purchase our own power pole and transformer, have the agreement of the power company to proceed, and then hire an outside company to do the installation. There is a major power transmission line passing over the property but there are no transformers nearby. Money for this purpose has already been donated. We thank the Lord for answered prayer. I stand amazed when I think of how the Lord has utilized people and churches to supply this need, and we want to give HIM the glory!
As you have seen through our history in Ivory Coast, facilitating something such as the installation of a transformer can be very expensive, time consuming, and confusing. Please pray the Lord will bring the right people by our path and open the doors for us to purchase this equipment at a reasonable price. We have already been given a starting price but we search for ways to reduce the total price so we can utilize the difference in construction needs.
